Stan Gorinson Named Partner in National Capital Region
Kilpatrick Stockton , LLP , announced that Stanley M. Gorinson has joined the firm as a partner in its National Capital Region offices.
Mr. Gorinson is regularly named one of the world's leading antitrust lawyers in surveys of general counsel conducted by both Global Competition Review and Euromoney.
Mr. Gorinson , who will work out of Kilpatrick Stockton's Washington , D.C. office , brings a litigation and business practice focusing on antitrust and telecommunications matters.Mr. Gorinson's extensive experience with antitrust and telecommunications cases includes participation in major cases and regulatory proceedings involving federal and state antitrust laws throughout the country.
Mr. Gorinson has significant government experience , having served in posts as varied as chief counsel to the President's Commission on the Accident at Three Mile Island , chief of the Special Regulated Industries Section in the Antitrust Division which had antitrust responsibilities for telecommunications and financial services , and chief of the task force that led to the settlement of United States v. I.B.M. in 1982.He has represented clients before the Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice , the Federal Trade Commission , state attorneys general and the European Union.
Clients have also benefited from Mr. Gorinson's significant expertise with regard to emerging telecommunications technologies.He regularly represents major companies and governmental entities on a variety of transactions relating to the use of the Internet and e-commerce solutions.These representations have included the structuring of Internet Protocol networks and the negotiation of contracts for the acquisition of such networks , pricing and distribution strategy and regulatory and antitrust issues affecting these new technologies.
