Livia Gorini

Livia Gorini.M.S. joined QPS in January 2002 as Director of Business Development.She is currently responsible for client services in the Northern-East region of the United States.Livia started her career in business development at Merck Pharmaceutical Co. and subsequently worked for an independent laboratory in the areas of Drug Discovery and Preclinical Development.She earned her M.S. degree from the University of New Hampshire where she was involved in Blood-Brain Barrier research.

Robert P. Kokka, Dr.P.H. joined QPS in February 2003 as Director, Business Development.He is presently responsible for client services in the Western regions of the United States.Prior to joining QPS Robert served as Director, Scientific Affairs and Technical Services for Roche Molecular Systems (Hoffmann-La Roche) and Bayer/Chiron Nucleic Acid Diagnostics with responsibilities for technical and commercial programs involving technical performance, clinical utility, business strategy, and market development.He spent his early years training and working in infectious diseases (medical microbiology and virology) with the State of California Microbial Diseases Laboratory.Robert has worked directly in, or collaborated with academia, diagnostics and pharmaceutical companies involving research areas such as HIV, hepatitis, CMV, tuberculosis, chlamydia, SIDS, Legionnaires Disease, and cardiovascular physiology.He earned his B.S. degree from the University of California, Davis and a doctorate in biomedical laboratory sciences from the University of California, Berkeley.
