Rob Gordon

Poly Protective Coatings owner Rob Gordon, manager Ian Moore and sales engineer Neale Stratton have 75 years of combined experience in the Mining, Sugar, Chemical and Engineering Industries.

Poly Protective Coatings building situated at 185-187 Boundary road has undergone another extension to the workshop which has more than doubled the size of the original building built in 1992.

To accommodate the increase in staff and employees, 4 additional offices and an increased reception area are being built in front of the existing workshop and offices.

Poly Protective Coatings is a company on the move, doubling in size in 7 years and increasing from the one-man operation established by Rob Gordon in 1982 to a staff/employee total of over 20 people.

Rob Gordon - Director

Originally from Scotland, Rob moved to England for tertiary studies. He has worked in a number of countries in the mining industry before coming to Mackay and establishing PPC in 1982.

Rob's aims for the company are still the same as they were in 1982 - To provide a quality service or product on time at a reasonable cost.

Now a permanent resident of Mackay, Rob's interests are fishing, sailing and talking about both; he has a daughter who is a keen Highland and Irish dancer.
