In addition to patient care and education, both Taylor and Dr. Raymond Gordon, director of clinical services for JHCHC and its principal investigator for the HEAT partnership, agree the partnership opens the lines of communication between practitioners and researchers.

"Several of the JHCHC doctors have expressed interest in research, and this study is one way for them to gain valuable experience while they serve the community," Gordon said.
