Max E. Gordon
Max, a Columbus, Indiana native is the current Treasurer of the FAME board.
He attended Ball State University and served in the U. S. Army from 1956-1958.
For thirty-eight years he was employed in the banking industry, four of which he served as President.
As a life-long member of First Christian Church, he has been active as a Sunday school teacher, youth sponsor, deacon, elder, church treasurer, missions team member and trustee.
In addition to church activities, he has been involved in the Masonic lodge, member of the Scottish Rite, served on the advisory boards of Rainbow Assembly (receiving Grand Cross Color), and the Chapter of Dad of Demolay (Regional Director, and awarded Honorary Legion of Honor).
In the Columbus community he has participated in Kiwanis, United Way, the Columbus Board of Realtors and Home Builders Association, Chamber of Commerce member, President of Columbus Multi-School Building Holding Corporation, and a member of SCORE.
Max and his wife, Mary Jane, an operating room nurse, have three grown children.In his "free" time he has been busy preparing for his daughters wedding in May.
