Gary is the author of several legal publications, including Daubert, Kumho & The Quest for Science in the Courtroom, Minnesota Institute of Legal Education, 2000; The Other Side of Catastrophe, National Association of Subrogation Professionals, 1999; The Cross Examination of Cause & Origin Experts, Minnesota Institute of Legal Education, 1999; Depositions of Opposing Experts, Minnesota Institute of Legal Education, 1998; and Design Defects - Some Thoughts on Law and Tactics, Hamline University Advanced Legal Education, 1985. Gary is the author of a book, Products Liability Litigation, (Mason Publishing, 1980). He is a frequent lecturer on subjects such as expert witnesses and scientific evidence.
He is an active member of the Defense Research Institute, and the American, Minnesota, Hennepin County, Wisconsin, and Federal Bar Associations. He has been elected to membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates, American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys, and the International Association of Defense Counsel. He is certified as a civil trial advocate by the Civil Litigation Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association. In addition, Gary was named a "Super Lawyer" by Minnesota Law & Politics in 2005 and 2006.
Gary lives in Minneapolis, with his wife, and four grown children. In his spare time he enjoys reading history and refereeing high school soccer. -
