A Principal with the law firm of Franklin & Prokopik, Tamara B. Goorevitz concentrates her civil litigation practice in general liability defense including motor tort, premises liability, retail representation, employer liability and employment discrimination.Ms. Goorevitz has worked extensively in trucking and transportation law, including defense of liability and insurance coverage actions for motor carriers, brokers, freight forwarders, and their insurers and the litigation of freight charge and freight loss and damage claims.She also handles litigation for numerous large and small retailers, insurance companies, and businesses.Ms. Goorevitz has handled cases involving slip and falls, general premises liability, falling merchandise, third party criminal conduct claims, negligent security, defective products, false arrest and detention, malicious prosecution, food contamination, defamation, invasion of privacy, assault and battery, as well as claims involving the negligent hiring, retention and supervision of retail employees.
Ms. Goorevitz also regularly represents auto dealers and their insurers, in matters involving a wide variety of issues in the auto industry, for both new and used vehicles, including: unfair business practices, consumer protection act, truth in lending, negligent repair, and contracts.She also handles claims against dealerships involving employment discrimination, wrongful termination and sexual harassment.Ms. Goorevitz is a member of the Maryland Automobile Dealers' Association.

Ms. Goorevitz received her Bachelor's Degree from James Madison University where she graduated with honors.She received her juris doctor from the University of Baltimore with honors.While at University of Baltimore, Ms. Goorevitz was a Staff Member of the University of Baltimore Law Review.
