Dr. Marissa Gonzalez, DVM

Dr. Marissa Gonzalez was born in Maryland and raised in Cinnaminson, New Jersey.She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Rutgers University in 1984.She moved to Richmond, Virginia in 1989 and worked at Sheltering Arms Physical Rehabilitation Hospital, before moving to Blacksburg, VA to attend the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.

Veterinary interests include avian, exotic, emergency and aquatic medicine.Living in the Lakeside area for many years, Dr. Gonzalez is excited to be a part of Lakeside Animal Hospital.In addition to small animal medicine skills, she has honed emergency medicine techniques by working at a local emergency veterinary referral practice.

Some of Marissa's interests include scuba diving, hiking, boating and reading.
