Maintaining a private practice in New York, Dr. Goldstein has extensive experience in use of soft tissue management dental lasers as well as the Erbium (Er:YAG) dental laser, primarily used for selective caries removal and cavity preparation.He has delivered many formal lectures and "hands-on" courses on laser dentistry and is the immediate past Senior Editor of Wavelengths as well as an Officer of the Academy of Laser Dentistry.

A 1963 graduate of the University of Toronto and the United States Dental Institute (Orthodontics), he is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Toronto Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Institute for the Advancement of Dentistry.
