Brian Goldman has been an elementary general music and chorus teacher in the Mineola School District for the past ten years.He has had a varied career in the Mineola district, having also assisted with Marching Band, High School Chorus, Middle School Brass Lessons, and founding an Elementary Theater Arts Club.This summer he will return as director of the Long Island Choral Festival Youth Choir, and in March will be conducting the Suffolk County Music Educators Association Division One West Chorus.Brian is President-Elect of the Nassau Music Educators Association, having served as a Vice President and chairperson for various Nassau All-County festivals for the past three years.Not just a choral music enthusiast, he received a degree in French Horn performance and Music Education at the Crane School of Music where he was principal horn in the Crane Wind Ensemble and competed in the Coleman Chamber Music Competition in Pasadena, CA.He received his MME from Westminster Choir College of Rider University, where he participated in classes and sang in choruses with James Jordan, Janet Galvan, and Andrew Megill, and conducted in workshops with the American Boychoir.He has also worked as an adjunct assistant professor for Westminster Choir College supervising student teachers.Brian continues his love for choral music by singing as a member and soloist with the Long Island Masterworks Chorus, Voci da Camera, and the choir at St. John's of Lattingtown.
