Alyssa Gold joins Environics Communications as Account Executive in Washington Office
WASHINGTON, May 8, 2007 - Environics Communications, Inc. today announced that Alyssa Gold has joined the agency's Washington, D.C., office as an account executive.
Gold brings to Environics experience in promoting social causes and health care-related issues on behalf of a broad range of clients.
Prior to joining Environics, Gold was a public relations specialist in the Washington office of ICF International, a global professional services firm.
At ICF, Gold worked closely with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where she played an active role in conducting HIV/AIDS outreach to minority and faith-based communities, including media relations and coordination of activities for various HIV/AIDS observance day activities.
Gold also managed workshops for the Region III Head Start office on childhood obesity prevention.
In addition, she worked with the Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Children's Health Protection Outreach Program and the Office of Pesticide Programs on issues such as improving school environments and protecting children from common household pesticide-related poisonings and exposures.
Her other public relations clients included the National Highway Institute and the Louisiana Recovery Authority's "Road Home" program designed to help residents of Louisiana affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
