Alison Leslie Gold, writer of Love in the Second Act: True Stories of Romance, Midlife and Beyond, says that an increasing number of singles are entering deep and meaningful relationships later on in life.
autumnal coupleGold says that she interviewed a number of singles aged between 43 and 97 and found that their love-lives are often coloured by past experiences.
However Gold says that it is possible to move on from a past relationship and find love again, especially as she says that people tend to approach relationships with more maturity as they get older.
"A new beginning doesn't mean that it wipes out the past," says Gold.
