In 2002, after experiencing a nasty, near-fatal paragliding accident off the coast of Thailand, Alex's back was left shattered and his body and career immobile.Alex was forced to take a two year break -- 18-months of intense physical therapy and hospitalization -- after which Gold channeled all of his emotions into his first passion: music.

Alex continued to work, remixing Annie Lennox's "Into the West," her Oscar and Grammy Award-winning song from "The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King."
