Karl A. Giulian, M.D. Physician SurveyorKarl Giulian is currently a resident of Pennsylvania.He received his bachelor of science degree in pre-medical at Penn State University in Pennsylvania and his doctor of medicine degree at Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.He completed a rotating internship at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia and his residency in OB-GYN at Episcopal Hospital in Philadelphia.He is board certified on the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Prior to joining the Joint Commission, Giulian served as chairman of the Department OB-GYN at Episcopal Hospital in Philadelphia; Medical Director of Vanguard Medical Group in BlueBell, Pennsylvania; and in private practice in OB-GYN in Philadelphia.

Giulian is affiliated with the American College of Physician Executives, the U.S. Army Reserve, and a Fellow in the American College of OB-GYN.

Giulian has been a Joint Commission surveyor since 1994 and is trained under the Accreditation Manual for Hospitals.He is qualified to perform hospital, long term care, integrated survey process and hospital-sponsored ambulatory surveys.
