Carol Gittinger

Gittinger is a member of UTC's Board of Directors and is the Customer Automation Technology (CAT) & Information Technology (IT) section chair.She has held several different positions in Operations, Telecommunications, IT and Marketing at Austin Energy where she has been employed for the past 15 years.Currently, she is the IT Project Manager overseeing their utilities Y2K program.Having received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Texas A & M, Gittinger is now pursuing an MBA from the University of Texas.

Upon accepting his appointment, Chairman-elect Stephen Carrico said, I am amazed at what UTC has accomplished over the past 20 years.UTC has helped been of great value to my company, and to me professionally.I do not think I would be where I am today at WPSC, if it have not been for the education and networking opportunities that have helped me to develop connections across the country to discuss the issues I am involved in on a daily basis..

The newly elected officers will officially begin their one-year terms on July 1, 1999.UTC looks forward to accomplishing even more in the next few years as the industry continues to undergo dramatic changes.
