Anthony Giordano, vice president and on-site manager of RBC Dain Rauscher's office in Andover, supported the YMCA's proposal.
Giordano is a long-time YMCA member and former member of the YMCA's Board of Directors and Finance Committee.
"The Teen Achievers Program has been so successful that presently 200 teens are utilizing this program.
There is currently a waiting list of 25 youth.
Last year, of the eight high school seniors in the program, all successfully completed high school and went on to college," he wrote in a letter of recommendation to the RBD Dain Rauscher Foundation.
"The YMCA's Junior and Teen Achiever Program is a great fit for RBC Dain Rauscher Foundation's commitment to programs that support culturally diverse community initiatives that foster economic independence, promote self-sufficiency and strengthen families.
Over the years I have seen first hand the great work of the Lawrence YMCA and can clearly appreciate the many benefits the YMCA provides to inner-city youth," said Giordano.
"I am proud that the RBC Dain Rauscher Foundation has continued its commitment to support the YMCA's successful Junior and Teen Achievers Program.
The YMCA's commitment to the betterment of youth in this community is commendable," he said.
According to YMCA Executive Director Francis J. Kenneally, III, "Anthony Giordano and RBC Dain Rauscher have been very supportive of the program.

We thank Mr. Giordano for inviting youth from the program to job shadow him at his financial consulting office.
We gratefully acknowledge RBC Dain Rauscher Foundation's continued support of this important program that combines occupational exploration and tools for academic, leadership, and social success while cultivating the talents of at-risk youth."
