  Tom Giordano, a GE vice president, said the St. Luke's campus would be the first hospital certified in ecomagination, which brings together new energy-efficient technology and environmentally friendly design.Giordano said GE is working to define what would qualify a hospital for such certification.

  Tom Giordano, vice president and general manager of the Enterprise Clients Group for GE Healthcare, said the partnership will simplify workflow, improve diagnostic capabilities and improve patient outcomes.

  In April 2007, Tom was named Vice President and General Manager, Enterprise Clients for GE Healthcare. He leads a team of senior executives with responsibility for developing long term strategic alliances with leading healthcare providers and GE Healthcare's largest and most strategic customers.
  
  Tom has spent his entire career in the healthcare field, beginning in 1975 as a sales representative with Winthrop Pharmaceuticals. He has held a number of sales and marketing leadership positions, experiencing several company ownership changes. Tom joined GE in 2004 when Amersham Health was acquired by GE.
  
  Prior to his current role, he was serving as Executive Vice President and General Manager for the Medical Diagnostics business in the Americas.
  
  Tom was born in Mineola, New York and raised in Garden City, New York. He attended Villanova University and graduated with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration in 1975. He currently resides in Princeton, New Jersey.
