Our resident Melbourne basketballer, Rebecca will take you to the best restaurants (both of the hole-in-the-wall variety in Beijing and the stylish, chic cafes of Hoi An in Vietnam), in addition to shooting hoops with any passengers who are interested!

The on-the-go lifestyle of a Travel Indochina Tour Leader suits Rebecca perfectly."I moved every year for the first ten years of my life due to my Dad's job," laughs Rebecca."I would get excited before each move!"So excited, in fact that she went on to study ‘Human Movement' at university.Rebecca couldn't ignore the itch to hit the road during her time studying, so she took a year off to work and travel in the USA, the UK, Italy and France. After returning to Australia and finishing her degree, it didn't take long for Rebecca to realise that she needed a plane ticket and her passport in hand to feel at home.

Rebecca moved to Japan to teach English for a year, but she fell in love with the Japanese people and Asian customs in general and ended up staying for an additional year. She had great experiences there and managed to pick up enough of the language to share jokes with the Japanese tourists she encounters today here in Indochina.

Whilst working as a Travel Indochina Tour Leader, Rebecca has come to appreciate the traditional aspects of daily life in Asia. She prefers a ‘Café Su Da' (Vietnamese iced coffee with sweetened condensed milk) from a street-side vendor to anything Starbucks has to offer. And she loves watching the older generation practice tai chi in the park as young people perfect their hip hop moves and basketball skills just meters away.
