I met my wife Peggy in '67 when she was a passenger on Oronsay doing part of our world cruise.
On that trip Oronsay caught fire when we were a day out of Hong Kong coming from Japan.
Peggy had the misfortune of losing all her belongings due to the fire when the sprinklers went off on E Deck Aft.
On the same trip we were a day out of Bombay heading for Aden when the Six Day War started closing the Suez Canal.
We were then rerouted around South Africa up to Senegal then home.
In '68 Peggy joined Oronsay as a Children's Hostess and sailed with us until '69.
Peggy being Canadian I emigrated to Vancouver in '69.
