Assistant Manager Judy Gilbertson at the East Milwaukee Street Ace said she was seeing a run on snowblower supplies, such as two-cycle engine oil and starter fluid.
Many snowblowers have been gathering dust in recent years, so owners were reporting trouble getting them started, Gilbertson said.
"Our spark plugs are flying off the shelves," she said.
Gilbertson said she hopes to get more salt and shovels from the store's La Crosse warehouse by Friday, although that shipment is not a sure thing.
Gilbertson said she was sending customers to Farm & Fleet in hopes they hadn't run out. -
