Mark Gibbard, Group Finance DirectorMark was appointed to the Board on 2 February 2006.After qualifying as a chartered accountant with Deloitte Haskins & Sells, he joined Cheltenham and Gloucester Building Society in 1987, working in a variety of treasury-related roles before being appointed finance director in 1997, following the takeover by Lloyds TSB.His responsibilities have included strategic planning, risk, compliance and information systems. Mark's role with Portman will encompass the Group's finance, treasury and audit functions.Age 45.

Mark Gibbard, aged 44, will be appointed to the Board as the new Group Finance Director on 2 February 2006.Mark joins the Portman Group from Cheltenham & Gloucester, where he has been Group Finance Director for the last 8 years.Mark has over 20 years experience as an accountant in Financial Services and has held a number of senior roles in Treasury and Capital Markets before becoming Finance Director.
