Sasanka Ghosh, Adviser to Managing Director, has more than four decades of experience in the IT industry.Sasanka Ghosh started his IT career in the year 1966 with IBM World Trade Organization and was associated with them till 1978.Moving on in his career, he joined CMC in the year 1978 till 2003 and was the Chairman and Managing Director during the last six years of his tenure there.

He was also Chairman of Baton Rouge International, Inc., USA during the years 1998-2003.He received B.Tech (Honors) in Electrical Engineering from IIT-Kharagpur, and has done management studies from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and Kolkata.

According to Sasanka S. Ghosh, Managing Director and CEO, CMC, the company's workforce has welcomed the change, though he is quick to add that "any change does bring anxieties and we are addressing those".

The Tata group has resolved to allay any transitional concerns through a clear and transparent flow of communication with employees, says the Tata spokesperson."There is an open-door policy under which employees are free to walk in at any time to have their concerns addressed," he adds.

Reliance has done similar things at IPCL.
