NEW YORK, NY - December 12, 2003 - Marketing Technology Solutions Inc. (MTS), a consumer-marketing information company, announced today that Carol Gershaw will join its Board of Directors.Ms. Gershaw is a former pharmaceutical industry executive who will provide strategic advice on key company initiatives.She currently runs her own consulting firm, Beacon Pointe Group, which provides sales, marketing and business strategy for several leading pharmaceutical organizations.
Prior to establishing the Beacon Pointe Group in 2002, Carol spent a large portion of her career with Schering-Plough, where she held various positions over a 15 year period.As Vice President of Information Technology, Ms. Gershaw was responsible for the strategic planning of all IT applications used by Schering-Plough.She previously also served as Vice President of Sales, Marketing Planning and Analysis, overseeing operational support for thousands of pharmaceutical sales representatives.During her career at Schering-Plough, Ms. Gershaw also held other significant leadership positions including: Regional Director of Managed Care Sales and Senior Director of Sourcing and Manufacturing, Strategic Planning.Carol has managed teams of hundreds, operating capital budgets of over $150 million.

In addition to being a well respected team builder within Schering-Plough, Carol has a proven ability to build effective relationships with CEOs, CFOs and the executive teams of clients such as United Healthcare, Diversified Pharmaceutical Services, PCS, Express Scripts as well as other key stakeholders.In 2002 Carol was appointed to the Board of Directors of C3i; a privately held firm specializing in technological support of pharmaceutical sales teams.She was also appointed by the Chief Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court to serve as a Director of the Disciplinary Oversight Committee, a board which supervises the state attorney discipline system.She currently serves as Chairperson for the organization's budget committee.
Carol holds an MBA in Finance and a B.S. in Biology from Rutgers University.
