    Professor Dr Tamas Gergely is President of the Applied Logic Laboratory in Budapest, and a Professor at the Technical University of Budapest.Previously he has worked as Head of Computer Science at Computer Application Services Company; and at the Central Research Institute in Physics, Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Cybernetics of the Ukrainian Academy of Science.

    He has acted as Scientific Director on many projects including the development of a theory of plausible reasoning for intelligent systems at ONERA-CERT in France; the Development of an intelligent system for pharmacological design; and most recently developing systems for virtual clinical departments.He has written more than 160 publications in mathematical logic, computer science, artificial intelligence and medicine.He is an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Mathematics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and a Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.
