    U.S. District Judge Lloyd George continued a hearing on the matter until next Tuesday but said he'd issue a written order Wednesday on a request from hundreds of flood victims to freeze water flows at a level of 250 cubic feet per second over the objections of about 2,000 farmers and ranchers who say they need more water for crops and livestock.

Judge George has had an illustrious career in the field of law in Las Vegas and has the distinction of having the Federal Courthouse named in his honor.
