Dave Genzink is the Director Of Operations for Partners Worldwide and as such is responsible for programs and training for the organization. In addition, he is responsible for facilitating the various business partnerships in the Latin America countries. Dave began working full time for Partners Worldwide in 2003 upon leaving a family business in Holland, MI.

Prior to joining the family steel business, Dave managed a recycling business in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and worked as field director for the Christian Reformed World Relief Committee in Haiti for five years. He also worked in South Florida with Haitian refugees in the early 1980's and as a business manager for Lake Worth Christian School before joining the family business in 1988.

Over the past 15 years Dave has also been involved on a volunteer basis with Habitat for Humanity. He feels strongly that the principles of that organization, which considers mentoring as a support system to become a successful homeowner, can also be applied to small businesses in developing countries.

Dave Genzink with Partners Worldwide, the business development arm of the Christian Reformed Church in North America, lived in Haiti for five years and made short trips there this year.He said that foreigners have not been targets there in the past.

"I've had friends kidnapped there, but they are all Haitians with business ties," Genzink said.
