AISK opens a new chapter in its history with the appointment of its first full-time high school/middle school principal, Mr. Scott Genzer, beginning August 2009.
Scott brings impressive qualifications to bear as well as a wealth of administrative experience in IB and technology-based programmes.
He has a strong academic background, holding a Master of Arts in Mathematics Education (Teachers College, Columbia University) and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (Columbia University: School of Engineering and Applied Science).
He is also a published author with a text on IB math studies (Mathematical Studies for the IB Diploma: IB Study Guides) through Oxford University Press.
Given his proven expertise in this field, he has been an Examiner/Team Leader for IBO since 2003.
He comes to us from The American International School of Lusaka where he was the Assistant Principal and IB Diploma Coordinator of a 200-strong high school programme.
Prior to that position, he has taught mathematics and science at a number of schools and before his assignment in Zambia, was the high school Chair of Mathematics at the prestigious American School of Warsaw.
He is married with two children and his family will be accompanying him to his posting at AISK.
