Wayne Gentry

Wayne Gentry is the Assistant Governor for Morrill, Scottsbluff/Gering and Torrington Rotary Clubs.Wayne is a 62-year-old retired educator and high school administrator from Torrington, WY.He enjoyed 32 years and has been retired for eight years.He has been a member of Rotary since 1976, when he received the book Adventure in Service.Wayne has served in most positions in his local club.He is most proud of the student of the month program he helped start many years ago.The program recognizes two outstanding seniors and their parents each month from one of the three high schools in the Goshen County Unified School District #1.

Wayne is a Paul Harris Fellow and a Benefactor to the permanent fund of the Foundation.He is looking forward to growing in his new position of AG and working with the clubs in Torrington, Morrill, and Scottsbluff/Gering.

He has been very active in his church serving as Senior Warden for the past three years.Stays active in his community enjoying many friendships in his coffee club, bowling, pool, investment club, and retired school administrators.Wayne loves traveling to the Kansas City area, Denver, and Phoenix to visit his adult children and grandchildren.His passion is following his beloved St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Club and was rewarded this year with a World Series Championship.Wayne was born in St. Charles, MO where he lived for his first 8 years, moving to Mitchell, NE where he graduated from high school.He received his Bachelor's of Education from Chadron State College and his Masters in Educational Administration from the University of Wyoming.He has lived in Torrington, WY the past 40 years.

Wayne currently enjoys the company of his new lady friend, Shelly from Casper, WY.He is blessed with two outstanding sons and his pooh-bear daughter, his baby at 32 years of age.He delights in being a grandfather to his seven beautiful grandchildren consisting of 3 girls and 4 boys ages 2 to 8!

La Vertha Gotier is the Assistant Governor for Cody, Powell and Worland Rotary Clubs.La Vertha grew up in Oakland, California.She has been married to her husband, Roy, for 52 years.
