Tom is a Shareholder and Chair of the Regulatory Law and Indian Law Sections which include Climate Change, Energy, Environmental, International Environmental Transactions, OSHA and Telecommunications.He is also a member of the Business, International and Real Estate Law Sections.Tom has over twenty years of experience in legal and related issues, including 15 years of senior management experience and 7 years as in-house Counsel.This integration of technical, business and legal experience offers a unique ability to advise management teams on contracts, environmental and health regulations, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and international issues.As a former auditor of environmental management systems (EMS) he is very familiar with ISO and Six Sigma management methods.He is an adept at finding the most cost-effective way to achieve compliance through best practices management.Utilizing his skills has resulted in savings of millions of dollars for manufacturers while increasing overall environmental and OSHA compliance.
Tom is also active in the international arena and was recently appointed to the Wisconsin International Trade Council by Governor Doyle.He is the General Counsel and Chairman of the Asian Chamber of Commerce and Trade LLC; President of the SE Chapter of the Federation of Environmental Technologists; and Chair Elect for the State Bar of Wisconsin Energy and Telecommunication Section.Tom was also asked to brief the new Secretary of the Department of Natural Resources on China's regulatory structure.In 2002, Tom was on a trade mission to the Qinghai Province of China to develop alliances with the local government and manufactures.Tom has experience working in a dozen countries including the Pacific Rim, Mexico and the EU.In the United States, Tom is involved with many national groups examining how to bring about the next generation of EHS regulations.He has testified before Congress on environmental issues and was on the Presidents Council on Environmental Quality.
