According to Stephanie Gehl, portfolio manager, ACDelco Quick Service Products, one of the simplest ways to help improve a vehicle's fuel economy is through regular preventive maintenance.

"Underinflated tires, clogged air filters and dirty spark plugs make engines and other vehicle components work harder," Gehl said, "and an engine that has to work harder uses more fuel.
