Burnham were inserted by the Town skipper, James Gear, and batted in the same attacking manner as they did when they visited Bourton Road.

Winning the toss and electing to bat was not really what skipper Gear wanted, but Buckingham Town started steadily before Harris was well caught by Khaud for 22.The next 5 wickets then fell for 21 runs in a very disappointing spell for Buckingham Town.

The day was only rescued by a spirited performance from James Gear, who coming in at number 8 remained at 72 not out at close.Tight bowling and good team fielding by Banbury 20 confined Buckingham Town to 146 for 9 off their 50 overs.

James Ward fell for 18 but ex Buckingham skipper James Gear joined Wade and the pair took the score to 101 at tea but immediately after Wade was run out by a direct hit as they looked to push the run rate along.

Gear (38), Kamal Khan (27) and skipper Ed Packard (41) kept Park in the hunt but Burnhams new overseas star Zulfi Butt kept up the pressure with an excellent spell of spin.
