Salazar Elementary School Principal Marina Garza said she asked the substitute teacher -- whom she did not name -- to leave the campus after another staff member reported the substitute had taped a second-grade student's mouth shut with cellophane tape Sept. 13."She was dismissed within minutes," Garza said.

"The students are stepping up and doing what they can for the hurricane victims," said Marina Garza, Salazar Elementary Principal.
