Kent Garlinghouse was recognized for his business achievements, which include transforming M-C Industries from a failing company into a $43 million enterprise with 400 associates and four Midwest plants.
But much of the praise from colleagues and friends centered on Garlinghouse's continuing efforts to make a positive impact in the community.

With his wife Susan, Garlinghouse not only founded our school but has remained active ever since the doors opened in 1982.
He is past president of the Board of Trustees and the current board treasurer.
