Gallant served on Summerside Council for 17 years, starting in 1979 and ending in 1994.

Working with CJRW AM Radio and C102 FM as a morning man for more than three decades, was a job he loved doing, said Gallant.

"I really enjoyed talking to the same people who listened to you every day."

Now Gallant wants to return to the public eye and reclaim the job he held for close to 20 years.

"I always enjoyed my time on council," he said.

Gallant says, with his retirement from radio, he has plenty of time to devote to his constituents' needs if he is elected.

Gallant is a current member of the Charlottetown Airport Authority.

"I am committed to a balanced budget and to reducing the city's debt," stated Gallant.
