Washington D.C., December 11, 2007 - Burson-Marsteller, a leading global public relations and communications consultancy, has named news veteran and crisis strategist Paul Gallagher a Managing Director within the Washington, D.C.-based Issues & Advocacy Practice, the firm announced today.Gallagher, a former producer for CBS' "60 Minutes" and National Public Radio, will co-lead the agency's crisis team in the U.S.
Gallagher will partner with Managing Director Karen Doyne, who has headed the agency's U.S. crisis capability since 2003.

Gallagher joins B-M from Manning, Selvage and Lee, where he was director of Media Strategy.Previously, he spent 10 years as producer for Mike Wallace at "60 Minutes," where he won numerous awards for his work.Gallagher has a master's degree from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.
