Gregg and wife of 16 years Sylvia moved to Clermont after living the last 14 years in Dunedin, Florida.He and his wife have been permanent residents of Clermont for 2 years.Sylvia is a director of software development for Walt Disney World Information Systems.
Mr. Gagliardi graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance summa cum laude, with minors in Accounting and Spanish, from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.While attending Northeastern, Mr. Gagliardi also played two years on Northeastern's Varsity Golf team.Mr. Gagliardi's professional experience includes serving in the dual capacity of general manager/director of golf from 1992 to 1997 at Lansbrook Golf Club.After being hired at Lansbrook as head golf professional in 1989, Mr. Gagliardi converted the club from a poorly maintained and managed facility whose cash flow was $85,000 in 1998 to one which has had three successive years of annual cash flows in excess of $800,000 and has increased course play from 47,000 rounds to 60,000 rounds in three of his final four years.From the cash flow from operations, Mr. Gagliardi was able to rebuild all 18 greens and most of the tee surfaces, adding 250 yards in length, thus repositioning the course in the marketplace, overhaul the driving range and add lights to the parking areas, reconstructed the clubhouse, increasing seating capacity from 40 to 150.
In September of 1997, through a former affiliate Management Company of the Company, Mr. Gagliardi managed the golf operations of the Belleview Biltmore Golf Club in Bellair, FL. During his tenure, the revenues and net operating income at the Biltmore increased from $1.7 million to $2.5 million and from $600,000 to $1.1 million, respectfully.
He has been a guest speaker from 1992-1999 at the annual national conferences on public golf sponsored by Golf Course News.He has been the recipient of the West Central Chapter of the North Florida PGA Section (WCCPGA) Bill Strausbaugh Award in 1992, 1994, and 1995, the Pinellas County Amateur Golf Association Professional of the year in 1991, the 1995 and 1996 Spalding /Top Flite Southeastern United States Golf Professional of the Year, and the PGA 1997 Golf Professional of the Year for the WCCPGA.
Mr. Gagliardi has also helped in local Tampa Bay community/charity fund drives, raising nearly $5,000,000 through tournaments held during his eight-year tenure at Lansbrook and Belleview Biltmore.
Gagliardi was responsible for overseeing the ownership transition of the company's first two properties Wekiva Golf Club and Sweetwater Country Club in Orlando, Florida and also was the project manager of the newly developed and opened Diamond Players Club Clermont, also in Orlando.He is currently overseeing the restructuring and rebuilding of the Diamond Players Club.
