According to Michele Gaggia, the most extraordinary aspect of Bach's canons was not their complexity, but Bach's ability to create music of such incredible beauty and emotional value, while observing the strict rules imposed by these forms of composition.
To better understand the "secrets" hidden within Bach's masterpieces, he started composing in strict "baroque" style Il Gioco delle Perle, a series of canonic variations for organ, and other complex forms of choral and double-canon.In 1987 Il Gioco delle Perle was performed for the Norddeutsche Orgelakademie, with enthusiastic response from the press.
Michele Gaggia started performing and programming analogue and digital synthesizer back in 1985; he has developed a large private library of synthesizer sounds and samples and is currently an expert in modern sound synthesis techniques. He performs live on synthesizers as well as on historic instruments.
He has co-arranged and composed for a number of productions in different musical styles, including classic, jazz, pop-rock, techno, trance and avant-garde.See the CD Production page for more information.
