Tim Gabriel, general manager, Customer Training, Bombardier Aerospace, notes that "Bombardier's Montréal training center offers customers pilot and maintenance training for Bombardier CRJ*, Challenger® 604, and Global Express® aircraft. We have trained over 100,000 maintenance technicians on our business and regional aircraft since the 1980s.We also tailor our courses to meet specific needs, such as various military and law enforcement organizations, and we have the ability to conduct off-site training for clients, as well," he continued.
Bombardier utilizes Europe's JAA's JAR 147 quality standards as the basis for its maintenance training standards. An added benefit of this approach is that it allows European technicians to be trained by Bombardier without an additional onsite evaluation by an inspector from their countries' regulatory bodies.
Bombardier's Dallas training center, located at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport, is also certified to FAR Part 142 standards for pilot and maintenance training as well as being designated a JAA "Type Rating Training Organization" (TRTO) for flight training. It is equipped with five brand new Level D flight simulators for the Bombardier Learjet® 31A, 45 and 60 and a procedures trainer for the Bombardier Challenger 601.A Level D Bombardier Challenger 604 simulator will be available in early August this year.
