Jim Gable joined Chevron Technology Ventures upon its formation in October 2001. As Managing Executive, Jim leads the corporate Venture Capital group. Prior to his current position, Jim co-managed the Power & Energy Fund and the Internal Corporate Venturing Fund within the same group, and at present, participates as an observer to the boards of Codexis, Five Star Technologies, and Konarka Technologies. Prior to the merger of Chevron and Texaco, Jim worked as Director of Business Development with Texaco Technology Ventures in White Plains, New York, where he also made private investments in energy-related technologies. In addition, he was actively involved in planning the post-merger Chevron technology commercialization function and organization. Jim joined Texaco in 1998 and initially served in a variety of assignments within production operations, marketing, and finance. Jim holds a Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science from Lehigh University and an M.B.A. from the Darden School at the University of Virginia. He is presently located in San Ramon, California. -
