Adam brings 15 years of trading experience to WJB Capital Group. Since joining the firm in January 2007, Adam has spearheaded WJB's entry into the options market and oversees all aspects of its development, day-to-day trading activities, and idea generation.

Adam started his career at Prudential Securities in New York, and after 3 years left to join Troster, Singer as a market maker. Adam then spent several years trading at Spear, Leads, and Kellogg Capital Markets focusing on technology companies and incorporating both customer-driven and proprietary trading strategies.

Adam joined the technology trading team at Goldman, Sachs shortly after Goldman's acquisition of Spear, Leads in 2000. While at Goldman, Adam expanded his product knowledge to the options market, often devising and employing strategies not only for the firm's customers, but also for its proprietary books. He left Goldman in 2005 to trade for a hedge fund and to implement some of the derivative strategies he had developed over the years.

Adam is a graduate of the University of Michigan (1992) and is an active recruiter for his alma mater.

And, yes, we saw some unwinding of those positions," Mr. Futterman said.

For example, early in the session traders fetched up to $6 for their November $90 call options, which were selling for $2 on Wednesday.

After falling below $3 early in the afternoon, these options last traded at $6.30 after the underlying stock hit an intraday high $96.74 toward the end of the session.

"We saw all sorts of strategies going into this, but certainly those who were long calls are enjoying life today," Mr. Futterman said.
