Harry Fujimoto, Ph.D.

Dr. Harry Fujimoto has worked in the semiconductor industry at Intel since 1982 in technology development and research, where he has held several different technical and management positions.Early in his career he worked on process technologies for manufacturing the 286, 386, 486 and Pentium microprocessors.He was the Intel project leader for joint polymer optical interconnect program with Lockheed and Lightwave Microsystems in the early 90's, successfully demonstrating polymer optical modulation.Recently he has managed research programs at Intel, understanding and finding solutions for many package/die thermal, mechanical and electrical reliability issues, which have occurred as technologies move to novel materials systems and more complex processes.Dr. Fujimoto received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. from MIT.He holds over 10 patents and is author to many technical publications.He has also served as Board Observer for several of Intel's portfolio companies.He has recently retired from Intel to pursue personal interests.
