Announcing the arrival of Idaho-Oregon Buddhist Temple's New Resident Minister: Rev. Dennis Fujimoto

We are very happy to announce that Rev. Dennis Fujimoto has safely arrived in Ontario and will be assuming his new responsibilities as teh resident minister for the Idaho-Oregon Buddhist Temple on March 1, 2005.

He comes to us from San Leandro, California, and is the son of Maame Suiyo Fujimoto and the late Reverend Hogen Fujimoto.

The Fujinkai Meeting will be held after the Adult Services - this will be our first meeting with Rev. Dennis Fujimoto in attendance.

Rev. Dennis Fujimoto is a BCA minister who came to visit our Temple and conducted a sermon.

We are happy to announce that Idaho-Oregon is one of the Temples that is being considered for a new minister, Rev. Dennis Fujimoto. Rev. Fujimoto obtained his Tokudo Ordination in 1981 and received his Kyoshi Ordination in 2004. He is a son of the late Rev. Hogen Fujimoto and Madame Suiyo Fujimoto and also a brother to Rev. Ken Fujimoto. He currently resides in San Leandro, California.

We have some good news thi spast week that we may be considered by the BCA Bishop Ogui and we will meet with Rev. Dennis Fujimoto from the Bay Area on November 5-7th. He will be our guest minister for the weekend. Ministerial committee and co-presidents will be meeting with Sensei on Friday. A welcome potluck dinner will be held on Saturday, November 6th at 6:00 PM - Matsy's will cater the main meats. Let's show our hospitality and meet with Rev. Fujimoto.

We spent our nights together working on an art project provided by Reverend Dennis Fujimoto of Idaho-Oregon Buddhist Temple (who happens to be one crazy artist himself!).

We arrived at the Idaho-Oregon Buddhist Temple and were warmly greeted by Reverend Dennis Fujimoto, Mr. George Iseri (the owner of the house we were staying in), Sensei Patti and Sensei Peter.

In the evening we had a hands-on project with Reverend Fujimoto; we made shapes out of dough that represented not only who we were, but also our time together at both retreats.
