8/10/01 Kane School Superintendent Rick Fritz read a statement at last night's School Board meeting.It said that the June 4th breakin at the Kane High School pool remains an open case.He estimated the damage done at about $200.He denied that anyone had offered to pay for the damage. -0- The Kane High School still has no cross-country coach, with practice due to begin on Monday.Superintendent Rick Fritz says the position has been advertised, but no one has applied.One School Board member called it "an embarrassment."

This figure is the equivalent of two school aid payments from the state, which is currently holding up "basic education funds" statewide because of a budget impasse, said School Superintendent Rick Fritz.
