It was closed for only a week and the current owners (Dan and Christy) re-opened the bar for business, and business was good!!Dan and Christy operated at 1001 Pierce St up until August of 2001, when they decided to close to doors and re-locate to a different location.

Dan and Christy waited until October of 2001 and they officially named the new place....yup, you guessed it right again, "The Syd". (if I remember right, that was one of my suggestions).

Frisbie's Corner Tap was there until 2001 when it sold out and we (Dan and Christy) purchased it and the name was changed officially to The Syd.
