  As one of the two founding partners of Arrhythmia Associates, Dr. Friehling had a vision in 1990 to provide highly specialized arrhythmia care for our patients here in Northern Virginia and the surrounding metropolitan region. Dr. Friehling is board certified in internal medicine, pediatrics, and cardiology as well as clinical cardiac electrophysiology. His patients include both adults as well as children with arrhythmia problems. He currently serves as director of the cardiac electrophysiology laboratories at INOVA Fairfax hospital and as co-medical director of the INOVA Atrial Fibrillation Center.
  
  Dr. Friehling completed his pediatric residency at Children's Hospital of Cincinnati and his internal medicine residency at University of Cincinnati. He completed his cardiology training at the Medical College of Pennsylvania where later as faculty member he became coronary care unit director and heart station director. Dr. Friehling became Associate Professor of Medicine at Medical College of Pennsylvania and is the author of nearly 90 abstracts and original papers in peer-reviewed cardiology journals, Dr. Friehling has long maintained a level of excellence and leadership in the evolving field of cardiac electrophysiology.
  
  Aside from the demands of clinical practice, Dr. Friehling is an avid musician and is the founding member of his band Offtrax (see www.offtrax.com). Ted plays numerous instruments including electric guitar, saxophone, mandolin, and harmonica. He writes original songs and his band is currently recording their second CD. He and his wife Linda have three children.
