Lisa was elected to the Board of Directors in May 2006 for a 3 year term. She serves as the liaison to the Strategic Planning and Neighborhood Watch Committees, and Chair of the Conklin Park/Park-n-ride Committee and the CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) Working Group. As a Board member, her top 3 goals are to 1) prepare for the final build-out of the community, 2) improve amenities and facilities, and 3) advocate for improved county services (transportation, medical, schools, recreation). Prior to her election to the Board, Lisa served on several South Riding Proprietary Committees, including Chair and Secretary of the Strategic Planning Committee, Chair of the Neighborhood Watch Committee, the Budget & Finance Committee (including the Budget Assessment Working Group and the Reserve Fund Working Group), the Recreation and Grounds Committee, and Block Captains.

Over the last several years, Lisa has advocated for a number of things that she believed were a benefit to a majority of South Riding residents: a cell tower, the South Riding Station rezoning, the regional library at Stone Ridge, an additional elementary school off Poland Road, healthcare facilities in Dulles South, regional road improvements, and the Dulles South Multipurpose Center. Lisa served on Segment 2 of the Route 50 Task Force, where she drafted architectural guidelines for future development in this important corridor into Loudoun County. She is committed to identifying local area development concerns and opportunities for creating win-win situations for South Riding residents and is a strong proponent of carefully planned development.

After earning a BS degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University, Lisa was employed at IBM, first as a software developer, then in several management positions, where she received a division-level award for outstanding management service. South Riding became her home 8 years ago when her husband, Mike, was transferred here from Austin, Texas.

Besides volunteering for the community Lisa enjoys movies, gardening, painting, reading, and a monthly game group.
