SME Offers Certificate Program on Forging Operations June 8-10Jeff Fredline, Federal Forge, is course instructorThe Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) is offering a new training program, "Understanding Forging Presses & Operations," in Detroit on June 8-10.The program will provide a comprehensive overview of the forging process, and an in-depth look at the techniques and practices that can enhance the reliability of forging operations.
Attendees can participate in SME's Certificate Program, which includes pre- and post-program testing and receive a certificate of achievement.The SME, based in Detroit, is a leader in providing manufacturing training and technical resources.
Course instructor is Jeff Fredline, who has many years of experience in the forging industry.Currently, he is maintenance manager at Federal Forge in Lansing, MI.He has earned journeyman status in the machine repair industry and holds a Bachelor of Business degree.He currently serves on the Plant Engineering Committee of the Forging Industry Association and has taken part in many forging industry conferences.
