NWMA worked closely with the Womens Mining Coalition to coordinate a week-long lobbying effort by 25 women and NWMA Trustee Dave Fredley, focusing on the House of Representatives.We helped prepare briefing papers and talking points that were used to educate members of Congress on the issue.As a result of this effort, 48 votes in Congress were changed to support industry's position on the millsite issue.
