The workshop will be lead by Dr. Ann Frechette.Cost is $25.00 per person and includes the workshop, lunch, snacks and handouts.
The workshop will include sessions on Chinese History, Language, Culture, Family Customs, Cultural Presentations and the film, "To Live"
Dr. Ann Frechette is an anthropologist and Asian Studies professor.She has been conducting research in China since 1995 and is the recipient of MacArthur, Fulbright, Mellon, Luce, and Freeman Fellowships.She received her PhD in Social Anthropology from Harvard University in 1997 and has taught at Harvard, Tufts, and Brandeis universities.In her current position as Associate at the Fairbank Center for East Asian research, she is writing a book about the China - U. S. adoption process.
