Oliver Franklin, Curator of Public Programs at the Harry Ransom Center, says what you'll see is different from other silent films.

"When one thinks of a silent film, one often has an image in mind, often it's a Charlie Chaplin Buster Keaton or something like that. There's often a paradigm in one's head, but what you'll see here is very different that what you'll normally experience," explains Franklin.

The movies are shown at the Alamo Drafthouse downtown on Thursday nights through March 11.
